A Vickers Super VC10 of BOAC (British Overseas Airway Corporation) departs Heathrow in the 1960s bound for New York. Introduced in the 1960s, the VC10 was one of the quietest airliners to travel in and could operate from ‘hot and high’ airports with short runways. This aircraft is preserved at Duxford UK, owned and looked after by the British Airliner Collection. Oil on canvas.
